Ranch Hand Taking Care of Its Own after Hurricane Harvey

Ranch Hand Truck Accessories is developing a fund for its employees affected by Hurricane Harvey. Using a portion of orders between September 11, 2017 and September 22, 2017, the fund will go directly to those employees. Ranch Hand is headquartered in the South Texas town of Shiner and, also, operates a manufacturing facility in Beeville, TX. Beeville is only 65 miles from the Texas coast where Harvey initially made landfall. Several Ranch Hand employees live in the initial path the storm took as it made landfall and the subsequent heavy rains that fell on South Texas. “We have been diligent in reaching out directly to our employees to fully understand the extent of the damage they incurred from the storm,” said Mike Kane, Vice President of Manufacturing. “Our goal is to take care of our own as directly as possible.” In addition, Ranch Hand employees have been actively participating in the collection and distribution of funds, clothing and supplies to those affected by the storm. This effort is spearheaded by Kaspar Companies, a 5^th generation Texan family-owned holding company of which Ranch Hand is a subsidiary. “We have deep roots in South Texas. Something like Hurricane Harvey reinforces in us the need to do what we can to take care of our employees, their families and our neighbors,” said Jason Kaspar, CFO of Kaspar Companies. Ranch Hand was founded in 1986 and has been a part of Kaspar Companies since 2001.
